Tero Mononen will investigate automatic pattern recognition

Tero Mononen, M.Sc. started as Analyst Programmer at Digitarium on 2012-01-01. His job is to investigate the possibilities for automatic recognition of labels in natural history collection specimens.

This topic is under intensive research in several large natural history museums around the world. Because there are millions of specimens with such labels, all new methods to speed up the work need to be explored.

In his career Tero has worked at Controlmatic Ltd and at the Infotonics Center.
